The French Country farmhouse known as “the Jewel of Hidden Hills”.
As often happens, uniquely strict Homeowner’s Association bylaws informed the design of this home. An excessively burdensome height limitation resulted in a design reminiscent of a Country Farm that has been slowly added to over the centuries as expansion filled in gaps between adjacent buildings slowly connecting them together to create one compound. The original bilaterally symmetrical core revealing the elegance of the enlightenment period while what appears as increasingly whimsical additions slowly dilute that formalism down to a more romantic and smaller scale periphery.
